Elnaz Latifpour
PhD Student

I am a current Ph.D. student at the University of Virginia in the History of Art & Architecture graduate program. Moreover, I am currently a research fellow in Indigenous Studies(IS) at the UVA.
My research interests concentrate on the History of Islamic Art, and Interdisciplinary Research focuses on weaving history, textiles, and anthropology. As a Ph. D student in Art History program, I situate the weaving art in its historical context, analyze its impact on the world around us, and develop theoretical frameworks that contribute to critical thinking.
