Please join us for visiting artist Roksana Pirouzmand’s lecture on Thursday, October 8 at 6:30 PM in Campbell 160, followed by a conversation moderated by curator Nicoletta Pollara.

Roksana’s sculptural and installation practice considers the body as part of larger material and ecological systems. Working across clay, steel, water, sound, erosion, and corrosion, her recent work explores how bodies, landscapes, and materials continually act upon and transform one another. Her installations move between bodily presence and geological process, thinking through interconnectedness, transformation, and the traces that movement and contact leave behind.

Nicoletta will moderate the conversation following Roksana’s lecture, opening a broader discussion around these questions and Roksana’s research and practice.

This lecture is sponsored by the Arts Endowment through the Office of the Provost and the Vice Provost for the Arts.
